The NAID Board of Directors has approved Michael Payton, CSDS of Kentucky-based The Data Vault as a member of the Certified Secure Destruction Specialist (CSDS) Board of Regents effective immediately.

According to Brock Miller, CSDS, of Oregon-based Accushred NW and chairman of the Board of Regents, Payton brings a wealth of knowledge, as well as dedication to the association and dedication to the CSDS program.

“With so many CSDS accredited industry professionals out there now, there were plenty of qualified people for us to recommend to the board,” says Miller. “Because Michael is so well-known in the industry and so well respected, we thought he was the best candidate to help us continue the program’s momentum.”

Of all the programs we have going, the CSDS program is affording the association many new opportunities which we will soon make public,” says NAID President and fellow CSDS Board of Regents member R. Stephen Richards, CSDS, of Tennessee-based Richards & Richards. “It is critical we have someone who has knowledge and influence, and who is not afraid of hard work. Michael is that guy.”

Payton joins the other members of the CSDS Board of Regent Chair Brock MillerCSDS; Steve Richards, CSDS; Tim Oberst, CSDS of Ohio-based Ohio Mobile Shredding; Joe Harford, CSDS, of Pennsylvania-based Reclamere; Heather Fitzanko, CSDS, of Illinois-based AAA Certified Confidential Security Corp; and David Surdyk, CSDS, of Illinois-based Document Destruction Company.
