The NAID Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Vladimir Vasak of K2 Partners to Chair the NAID Certification Rules Committee. In recommending the appointment, NAID President Don Adriaansen, CSDS of TITAN Mobile Shredding in Doylestown, Penn, referenced Vasak’s experience in the secure destruction industry, his long service as a member of that committee, as well as his well-earned reputation for integrity and competency.  The “Rules” committee, as it is known in NAID circles, recommends certification specifications to the NAID board of directors, and is complimented by the Certification Review Board, which is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the certification program.

Vasak replaces Eric Haas of A.R.M.S. Inc in DePere, WI. as the chair of the Rules committee. Haas, who now serves as NAID President-elect has assumed duties as Chair of the Membership Committee which is dictated under the NAID Bylaws.

Vasak says he is honored and excited about his new role and understands it is a big responsibility.

“NAID Certification has become the widely recognized and accepted data destruction services validation in the world but that does not mean our work is done,” said Vasak. “Maintaining relevance in an evolving marketplace will require change, so in that sense we have to make sure we are evolving our standards as well.”
