NAID is proud to announce Arizona-based DMD Systems Recovery, Inc.(DMD) is the first IT asset disposition (ITAD) company in the world to achieve NAID AAA Certification for Sanitization Operations under a new audit methodology utilizing auditors accredited to conduct audits for other ISO standards.  Under this alternate auditing option DMD was able to achieve NAID Certification on the same day and using the same auditors used to renew their environmental certification.  As a NAID Certified operation, DMD remains subject to NAID’s rigorous random, unannounced audits conducted by the association’s international network of accredited security professionals.

“Data protection regulations now require customers to verify and monitor specific aspects of their service provider’s capabilities and procedures,” says NAID CEO Bob Johnson. “By adding NAID AAA Certification to their qualifications, DMD has validated that they meet those security and regulatory requirements. In that regard, their NAID Certification actually makes their customers compliant with their responsibilities.”

According to DMD’s founder Morris Scott, “NAID Certification will add another layer of safety in addressing the critical data security needs of our customers to safely process and add value to our services.”

“There is no disputing that data protection is the most prominent concern of any organization looking to process or repurpose their used IT equipment and we have always taken it very seriously,” says Scott. “We see achieving NAID Certification as the best way for us to help our clients meet their regulatory due diligence requirements.”
