CSDS Examination at NAID 2017

The Board of Regents heading up the association’s CSDS professional accreditation will offer an examination opportunity in conjunction with the NAID 2017 Conference and Expo. In keeping with tradition, the proctored test will be held at 8 a.m. PST on the event’s opening day.  Conference registration is not required to take the CSDS examination.
The curriculum for the upcoming exam consists of an online webinar series running through the various subject matter facets, including legislation, information security, records management, risk management and information destruction operations, among others.
Those interested in preparing to earn their Certified Secure Destruction Specialist accreditation can access the training using the following instructions:
  1. Go to
  2. Create a new account or login
  3. Click Catalog on the top right
  4. Select the CSDS Study Guide 
  5. Click Add to Cart
  6. Click the shopping cart on the top right (it should show 1 item)
  7. Continue to check-out
  8. Once the CSDS Study Guide is purchased, click Dashboard on the top right
  9. Click on the module you would like to review and begin test
This marks the last time this format will be used to prepare CSDS candidates. As previously announced, NAID will also unveil the first Information Disposition textbook at NAID 2017. Going forward, the textbook will be used as the source material for future CSDS examinations, which are tentatively planned for the last half of 2017.
Note too, the CSDS examination may be taken any business day at NAID headquarters with proper advanced notice.
