FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Phoenix, Ariz, March 27, 2017 – The National Association for Information Destruction® (NAID®) announced last week at the NAID 2017 Conference and Expo the recipient of the Member of the Year Award and President’s Award. Steve Innerfield, CSDS of Quality Shredding was bestowed the Member of the Year Award. The dual recipients of the President’s Award are Chris Isabel of iSecure, LLC and Ray Barry of Stevens & Stevens BRM, Inc.

Every year the NAID Executive Committee gives out an award to the member representative who for the past 12 months goes over and above in contributing their time and energy to the mission of the association. Last summer, NAID reorganized various committees, including what is now the Certification Support Committee. It is charged with encouraging and supporting certification among members. According to NAID Past-President, Don Adriaansen, MBA, CSDS of Titan Mobile Shredding, LLC “Steve Innerfield has worked enthusiastically and tirelessly - and motivated his team to do the same - to develop programs and campaigns that will motivate members worldwide to join the ranks of other NAID Certified organizations.”

The President’s Award is not given out annually; only occasionally to acknowledge those who have given a sustained and lasting contribution to the secure information destruction industry. In NAID’s 23 year history, it has been bestowed nine times.

This year, Adriaansen found it fit to add two deserving people to that list. Chris Isabell of iSecure moved up ranks in NAID leadership overtime starting as a director and eventually becoming President.  According to Adriaansen, “His colleagues, including me, came to rely on him to give us the final word on an issue.”

The next inductee into this elite group was also a NAID director who worked his way up to former President. He was part of the team that took NAID into Asia - which is why we now have NAID-Japan with close to 30 members. “Over the past 15 years, Ray Barry has literally helped hundreds of industry professionals succeed in the secure destruction business, especially in his work through Shred School.”

NAID is proud to honor these individuals for their contributions to the industry and association.
