The NAID-Europe Committee have commissioned the international law firm of Allen & Overy to create a state-of-the-art contract to help members and their clients fulfill their new obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

According to NAID-Europe Chairman Amadeo Roig Casanova of Destrupak in Spain, such a resource protects members and provides an opportunity to increase sales. “Customers are required to have a new contract with the data processors under the new regulation, but they often have no idea what it should include.” Roig elaborated further, “If a NAID member is able to provide such a document that has been created by one of the most highly regarded privacy attorneys in Europe, they will have an important advantage.”

The new NAID-Europe GDPR Contract will be presented at the Making the Most of the GDPR seminar being held on 18 May at STREFF Data Protection Services in Luxembourg. One of the contracts authors will conduct a session to educate attendees on contract elements and how they apply to the new regulatory requirements of the GDPR.
