The more NAID members know about the risks and requirements of the forthcoming GDPR the more they will profit, according to NAID CEO Bob Johnson.

“It’s more than idle speculation,” says Johnson. “We watched it happen in the US when HIPAA and GLB became law. Those who take time to prepare will profit enormously. Those who do not prepare will struggle. It is that simple. It’s the association’s job to provide the education and resources.”

To that end, on 18 May NAID-Europe will host Making the Most of the GDPR. The event, which will be held at the facilities of STREFF Data Protection Services in Luxembourg, will combine top industry speakers and regulatory experts with content tailored specifically to capitalizing on the regulation.

Speakers Include:

  • Catherine Di Lorenzo of Allen & Overy
  • Ross Federgreen of CSR Professional Services
  • Oliver Graumann of Reisswolf Int’l
  • Yarom Ophir of KATANA
  • Neil Percy of Stericycle/Shred-it
  • John Shegerian of ERI International

Sessions Topics Include:

  • Overview of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Breach Notification Preparedness and its Impact on Sales
  • Unveiling of the New NAID-Europe GDPR Contract
  • NAID AAA Certification and the GDPR
  • How the World of Secure Destruction will Change Under the GDPR
  • Tour of a world-class facility…

Making the Most of the GDPR also includes the rare opportunity to tour STREFF Data Protection Services, one of the world most innovative and progressive archives and secure destruction operations on the planet. In order to accommodate every schedule, the tour will be conducted at the beginning of the day as well as after the sessions.

Networking is also an important part of any event and there will be plenty included for this NAID-Europe Seminar in Luxembourg.

Those arriving to the Sofitel the night before can attend the optional pre-event dinner reception the night of 17 May. A continental breakfast, a luncheon, refreshment breaks and a cocktail reception are all included on 18 May.
