The annual E-Scrap Conference is widely regarded as the most highly concentrated gathering of electronics recyclers in the world. Last year’s event reportedly attracted an estimated 1,250 attendees from more than 38 countries.

In acknowledgement of the growing importance of secure data destruction in the world of electronics recycling, E-Scrap Conference planners have invited NAID CEO Bob Johnson to speak on the subject at the event’s general session covering the major industry trends. The conference will be held September 18-20, 2017 in Orlando, Florida.

“It’s obviously a great honor to be invited to speak at such a highly-regarded event,” says Johnson. “There are still too many electronics recyclers missing out on the service revenue and customer loyalty that result when they take a serious approach to data protection.”

Johnson also says that all NAID members can benefit by attending the event. “Even those who see themselves as hard copy destruction service providers can’t deny that there are emerging opportunities in electronic data destruction,” says Johnson. “The E-Scrap Conference provides a great venue for exploring all those options.”

E-Scrap 2017 will be held September 18-20 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida.
