Madrid Disposal Habits Study Hits Headlines and Starts National Dialog

Bookmark and Share

Exceeding all expectations, the recent Madrid Disposal Habits Study and subsequent press conference have ignited a nationwide dialog on the protection of personal information.

While the process started with the study itself, in which a licensed investigator was commissioned by NAID to determine the relative amount of personal information being put at risk in Madrid area commercial trash containers, the press conference making the results public is what caused the uproar.

On September 13th, virtually all major Spanish media outlets were on hand to hear NAID-Europe member-representative Marcos Verdu (pictured) explain the study’s findings.
