NAID Presentation at Medwaste to Discuss Realities of New Law

Bookmark and Share

On June 10th, NAID executive director Bob Johnson will address attendees of the 2009 Medical Waste Conference in Las Vegas with the intent of delivering two messages.  First, to medical facilities managers attending to learn more about their responsibilities, Johnson will impress upon them the importance of care in selecting a vendor to process their retired electronic equipment. Second, to attendees representing electronic equipment recyclers, Johnson will remind them that, like it or not, they are in the information destruction business and they are subject to the laws and liabilities inherent with that responsibility.

The title of the presentation is “E-Waste: New Laws, New Realities, Unique Considerations” and will be presented from 1:30pm to 2:30pm on June 10th.  The Medical Waste Conference is presented by the Medical Waste Institute, a policy-making group within the National Solid Wastes Management Association (NSWMA) and the Waste Equipment Technology Association (WASTEC), and is being held in Las Vegas in conjunction with Waste Expo 2009.
