About NAID

NAID® is one of the divisions of the International Secure Information Governance and Management Association™ (i-SIGMA™). It was originally formed as its own association in 1994 and became a part of i-SIGMA in 2018 when it merged with PRISM International. NAID has always been the international watchdog for the secure data destruction industry, advocating for a standard of best practices across governments and by service providers as well as suppliers of products, equipment, and services to destruction companies. NAID also works to improve the sales efforts of nearly 2,000-member companies by providing tools for compliance with all known data protection regulations. The NAID AAA Certification Program, held by approximately 1,000 service providers, is a requirement in thousands of government and private service contracts.
